James A. Goldstein, M.D., F.A.C.C., graduated with high honors and highest distinction from the University of Illinois and received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland. Following his residency, Dr. Goldstein completed a four-year research and clinical cardiovascular fellowship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, at the Cardiovascular Research Institute of the University of California in San Francisco. For the next six years Dr. Goldstein directed the cardiovascular division of the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, affiliated with Stanford University Medical Center. He then spent seven years at Washington University in St. Louis, where his responsibilities included directing the Congestive Heart Failure-Cardiac Transplant Program. He is currently the Director of Research & Education in the Division of Cardiology, William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. |
