Wai Shun Wong, MD, MS is the Director, Electrophysiology Research and Assistant Director, Electrophysiology Fellowship program at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Wong graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and completed his post-graduate training at Tufts University Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences in Boston, MA. Fellowships were completed at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. From 2004 to 2009, Dr. Wong served as an attending physician at South Shore Hospital and Quincy Medical Center in Massachusetts as well as the University of Michigan and Crittenton Hospital. He was also the Clinical Electrophysiology Lecturer at the University of Michigan, Division of Cardiology before joining the staff at Beaumont Hospital in Michigan.
The American Board of Internal Medicine certifies Dr. Wong in Clinical Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Diseases and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Wong's expertise centers on atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, with special emphasis on catheter ablations for atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, WPW syndrome, and ventricular arrhythmias.
